The first crop of weanlings by Walmac Farm’s freshman sires Fulsome and Pappacap were successful in their first showing during the 2025 sales season.
Pappacap, a young stallion from the first crop of elite sire Gun Runner, made a splash at the Keeneland November Sale with a pair of weanlings commanding six-figure sums. A half-sister to dual Graded stakes placed No Mo Candy brought $170,000 and went to Tim Hoese. The bay filly is out of the Blame mare Sweet—a full-sister to Grade 1-winner Fault, and from the same family as other Grade 1-winners such as Juju’s Map and Bast.
At the same sale, Pine Creek Ranch acquired a bay colt out of the Honor Code mare Quiet Talk for $150,000. He is a half-brother to recent dual stakes-placed Just Be Quiet, and comes from the same family as stakes-winners Fordubai and Fast Alex.
Fulsome, a first-crop sire of weanlings by perennial North American leading sire Into Mischief, had a filly out of the High Cotton mare Nightengale Miss bring $52,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Mixed Sale in October. The bay filly went to Final Furlong Racing, RiceHorse Stables, agent. At the Keeneland November Sale, DR Investments went to $50,000 for a dark bay filly out of the Street Boss mare Grandma Fran, who was also the dam of recent Black-type placed Blue Creek.
Both Pappacap and Fulsome will have their first yearlings in 2026.
